Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media komunikasi yang digunakan oleh penyuluh dalam menyampaikan informasi penyuluhan pertanian di tengah pandemi Covid-19, hambatan yang dihadapi petani/penyuluh dalam penyampaian informasi penyuluhan pertanian melalui media komunikasi di tengah pandemi Covid-19 serta solusi yang dilakukan guna mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus pada Kelompok Tani Sri Asih Desa Jatianom Kecamatan Susukan Kabupaten Cirebon. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa media komunikasi online WhatsApp menjadi media komunikasi utama yang sering digunakan dalam mengakses dan menyampaikan informasi penyuluhan pertanian di tengah pandemi Covid-19. Hambatan yang dihadapi oleh penyuluh dan petani relatif sama seperti penggunaan Zoom Meeting yang masih sulit untuk dimengerti, faktor umur, kesalahpahaman dalam berkomunikasi/menerima informasi, sinyal, dan lain-lain. Cara petani mengakses informasi penyuluhan selama masa pandemi Covid-19 adalah dengan cara online melalui media komunikasi seperti WhatsApp, Zoom dan juga penggunaan telepon/sms, sedangkan untuk media komunikasi offline melalui pertemuan langsung di sawah atau di rumah.   Kata Kunci : media komunikasi, penyuluhan pertanian, pandemi Covid-19, kelompok tani   ABSTRACT   This research aims to figure out which communication media used by extension workers in delivering the information of agricultural extension amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the obstacles faced by farmers/extenders in delivering the information of agricultural extension through communication media amid the Covid-19 pandemic and the solutions implemented to overcome those obstacles. The method used is a case study at the Farmer Group of Sri Asih, Jatianom Village, Susukan District, Cirebon Regency. The results of the research concluded that the WhatsApp online communication media is the main communication media which is often used in accessing and delivering the information of agricultural extension information amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The obstacles faced by extension workers and farmers are relatively the same as the use of Zoom Meeting which is still difficult to understand, due to the age factor, misunderstandings in communicating/receiving information, signals, and others. The way farmers access extension information during the Covid-19 pandemic is by going online through communication media such as WhatsApp, Zoom and using telephone/SMS, whereas for offline communication media through face-to-face meetings in the fields or at home.   Keywords: communication media, agricultural extension, Covid-19 pandemic, farmer group
